A great opportunity for young girls – a visit to the Belgrade City Assembly

17. Sep 2025.
Members of the EHO Club for Girls from the Vojvoda Putnik Elementary School in Ripanj had a unique opportunity to visit the Belgrade City Assembly and talk to Igor Jovanović, Deputy President of the Assembly. This meeting is part of the project “Social Inclusion for a Dignified Life of Roma and Other Vulnerable Persons in Serbia 2023–2026”, which is implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of the Swiss organization HEKS/EPER.
During the visit, the girls received valuable support and inspiration, heard stories about success and the importance of education, but also realized how important it is to believe in yourself and your dreams. This experience not only opened the doors of one of the most important city institutions for them, but also sends a strong message to society: investing in the education and empowerment of young girls is of exceptional importance.
