Another inspiring workshop was held at the Elementary School "Jovan Grčić Milenko" in Beočin as part of the Girls Club, which is already successfully operating in seven schools across Serbia. The club represents a safe and stimulating space for girls to empower, exchange and grow personally, as well as support in continuing their education. The workshop is part of the project “Social Inclusion for a Dignified Life of Roma and Other Vulnerable Persons in Serbia 2023–2026”, which is being implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of the Swiss organization HEKS/EPER.

The workshop was dedicated to a special and creative topic – creating a “Girls Club Book”, an authentic book that the girls themselves designed and created. On its pages, each of the participants had the opportunity to write down and illustrate their virtues, strengths, talents, what they are good at and what they are proud of.

At the end of the workshop, the pages of all the girls were combined into one common book, a symbol of togetherness, empowerment and the uniqueness of each participant. This book now preserves their thoughts, feelings and dreams, as a precious trace that they left through work and creativity.

The workshop was led by volunteers from Turkey, Nazife and Gulcan, who are already well known to the girls for their warm approach, support and inspiring personal stories. Their presence once again brought an additional dose of encouragement and motivation, encouraging the girls to believe in themselves, learn, progress, dream of a better life and make courageous choices for their future.

Their message was clear – every girl has the right to grow, develop and choose her own path
