Girls change the world When they believe in their stories

26. Sep 2025.
The Girls' Club at the Elementary School "Bora Radić" in Bavanište held a workshop called "Where do I see myself in the future?". The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization is bringing together Girls' Clubs in 7 elementary schools in Serbia through the project "Social Inclusion for a Dignified Life of Roma and Other Vulnerable Persons in Serbia 2023–2026", supported by the Swiss HEKS/EPER.
The workshop was led by volunteers from Turkey, Gulcan and Nazife, who are using their time at the EHO to share their knowledge and experience. By sharing their experience and knowledge with the girls, these young volunteers showed how important it is to believe in yourself, because that is the only way we can achieve our goals.
The Girls' Club at this particular school brings together 17 girls who are given the opportunity to develop their talents, strengthen their self-confidence, and empower themselves for their future lives through various EHO workshops and activities. These activities not only provide them with space for growth and development, but also help them recognize their potential and receive support in continuing their education.
Through stories and conversations, our volunteers showed the girls that every story has value, that it is important to believe in ourselves, and that dreams can become reality - when we courageously follow them and don't give up.
Girls' clubs are not just rooms – they are a safe haven where strength is born, where support becomes a pillar, and where every girl discovers that her future can look exactly as she imagines.
