The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) celebrated the School Day of the “Vojvoda Putnik” School in Ripanj at the special event in the same place. This school is one of 7 EHO partner schools in implementing joint activities within the project “Social Inclusion for a Dignified Life of Roma and Other Vulnerable Persons in Serbia 2023–2026”, supported by the Swiss organization HEKS/EPER. The cooperation between EHO and the “Vojvoda Putnik” School has been going on for three years and is primarily focused on supporting pupils in providing better quality education and creating an inclusive school environment. On this occasion, the school presented a certificate of appreciation to the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization as a sign of recognition for the work done so far, the successful cooperation and the support that EHO provides to the school and its pupils. Through joint activities, trainings have been implemented to strengthen the capacity of teaching staff, a Girls' Club has been formed, which encourages the empowerment of girls and support in continuing their education, and also a group of peer educators against discrimination formed, which is a group that promotes equality and tolerance among school-children. As part of the cooperation, the school has so far successfully implemented two small school projects, while this year's school project provided a mobile stage, which was also used during the celebration of School Day. EHO thanks the school for the recognition and looks forward to continuing joint work on improving the conditions for education and inclusion of children.
