International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 in Raška
04. Dec 2025.
The annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 47/3. The aim of the observance is to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development and to raise awareness of the position of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic and cultural life.
Around the world, persons with disabilities face numerous barriers that exclude them from full and effective participation in society. They face unequal opportunities in terms of education, employment, health and social protection.
This is a day for optimism; to look to the future and to create communities in which a person is not characterized by his disabilities but by his abilities.
At our Day Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Raška, as every year, on December 3, we are celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a suitable program and activities. For our friends and associates who visited us, we prepared a special meal and socialized with beautiful melodies played on their instruments by students of the Secondary Music School.
