The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) has launched the project "Empowerment of Local Roma Organizations", which aims to empower and build the capacities of smaller Roma citizen associations in the territory of the Republic of Serbia toward the:
- launching of local initiatives that respond to the social, educational, cultural and other needs of the Roma community and
- improving and advancing the position of the Roma community at the local level through the implementation of small local projects/initiatives.

The project will organize online training for representatives of Roma organizations on project management, mapping and resource mobilization in the local community. The training will be implemented on February 6, 2026, starting at 10 am.

Representatives of organizations will, during and after the training with mentor support, develop ideas about their local initiatives aimed at improving the position of the Roma community on the territory of the Republic of Serbia and propose their initiatives in the form of small projects.

The 6 best local initiatives will be selected for support and funding. The selected Roma organizations will be awarded grants in the amount of 200,000.00 RSD for the implementation of these small local projects.

Representatives of small Roma civic associationswho wish to participate in this competition should apply for the training by filling out the FORM * (the document is in Serbian language only) and sending it to the e-mail address: rastislav@ehons.org, no later than 02.03.2026. by 2 p.m.

All accepted candidates, or representatives of Roma civic associations, shall be informed on February 4, 2026 about the details of participation in the online training.
