My name is Gülcan Güzel, and I am a social worker from Turkey.

As an EU Solidarity Corps volunteer sent by ADRA Czech, I joined the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) in Serbia as an Educational Assistant.

For one year, I worked in schools, field locations, container settlements, and refugee camps, implementing social, educational, and psychosocial workshops for children from diverse backgrounds. This role allowed me to actively practice social work within an international humanitarian context.

Living and working in Novi Sad and across Serbia also gave me the opportunity to experience a new culture, meet inspiring people, and gain new perspectives. The supportive and collaborative environment within the EHO team made this journey both professionally and personally enriching.

This experience strengthened my professional identity and enhanced my capacity to contribute effectively within international humanitarian initiatives.
