Supporting women from rural areas through economic empowerment
02. Mar 2026.
Within the project “Education and Economic Empowerment of Marginalized Groups”, implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of the organizations Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg / Hoffnung für Osteuropa, three women from rural areas were supported, which opened up new opportunities for business development, faster and more efficient work and additional economic security for their families.
Suzana Arh from Kucura received a tool for agricultural work, which will enable her to perform activities faster and better, increase productivity and develop her agricultural business. Anita Simić, also from Kucura, was supported with equipment for deep car and furniture washing, which will improve her services and create a more stable source of income. Adilje Plavci from Titel received a hairdressing tool that will enable her to improve her business, which will increase her independence, work capacity and development opportunities.
In addition to the equipment itself, the beneficiaries are included in training on creating a business plan and receive mentoring in further business development. This support not only empowers individuals and contributes to their professional development, but also strengthens the local community, enables women in rural areas to actively participate in the economy, and brings additional stability and security to their families.
