Grants for local Roma initiatives in the territory of the Republic of Serbia

The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) has launched the project “Strengthening Local Roma Organizations”, which aims to strengthen and build the capacity of smaller Roma Citizens' Associations in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

Within the project, 7 (seven) best local initiatives were selected to be awarded grants for the implementation of projects.

The organizations that were awarded grants are:

1. Association “Center for the Development of the Roma Community Amaro drom” from Smederevska Palanka, project name “We preserve the language, share stories”,
2. Association “Association of Women Kostolac” from Kostolac, project name is “Moving the Borders”,
3. Association “Center for Integration and Education of Roma AL” from Prćilovica-Aleksinac, project name is “Support for Children After School”,
4. Roma Association “Zora” from Babušnica, project name is “Right to Live Without Fear”,
5. Humanitarian Association “Đina” from Bačko Gradište, project name is "Learning to participate and decide: participatory processes for children and youth",
6. Women's Association "Educational Center of Hopes" from Novi Sad, project title "Tastes of Tradition - Roma Cuisine as a Bridge of Unity",
7. Association "Association of Young Volunteers" from Belgrade, project title is "Pride as a Foundation, Solidarity as a Bridge".

The project "Empowering Local Roma Organizations" is funded by HfO-Hoffnung fur Osteuropa Diakonie Württemberg from Germany.
