World Recycling Day with EHO - toward the creative and purposeful recycling

17. Mar 2026.

Trough the years of collecting, sorting and recycling textiles, we have learned that recycling can be much more than just disposing of old clothes - this work is actually an opportunity to breathe new life into old things and provide people with a space for creativity, learning and support.

At EHO Workshop, every piece carries its own story and is given a new purpose. Our users, people from vulnerable categories and our senior volunteers, participate in every step of the recycling process. Donated old clothing is used to create unique products that combine functionality and a story, showing how creativity and sustainability can be connected in everyday life.

In our tailoring workshop, every fabric gets a new chance and becomes a product made with care and love. So, with us you can find: pillows and nests for pets, bags and pouches, redesigned wardrobe, as well as numerous decorative and practical items.

The celebration of World Recycling Day reminds us of the importance of responsible resource management and waste reduction. Textiles are one of the materials that are often discarded prematurely, although through reuse and creative redesign they can be given a new purpose. Through its activities, EHO encourages the reuse of textiles and promotes sustainable practices that contribute to environmental preservation and community strengthening.

EHO invites everyone to join in - donate textiles, support creative workshops and create new stories from old fabrics together with us!
