Continuation of the solidarity mission: EHO in the new cycle of the ESC volunteering project
20. Mar 2026.
The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) is proud to announce its continued participation in the international consortium within the project "Humanitarian Volunteering for Solidarity Activities II" (HVSA II). This project, supported by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program, officially started with preparatory meetings in mid-March 2026.
Building on the goals of our Strategic Plan 2024-2028, which envisages strengthening organizational resources and developing civil society through partnerships, EHO will work on concrete humanitarian actions together with partners from Armenia, Georgia, Zambia and Uganda.
The main focuses of this cycle are:
-
Social inclusion and education: Support for groups on the margins of society, which is at the core of EHO's mission to contribute to building a just society.
-
Public health and environmental sustainability: Developing awareness and resources in local communities while respecting the principles of sustainable development.
-
Disaster Risk Reduction: Strengthening the resilience of communities to unforeseen challenges, continuing EHO's tradition of rapid response in crisis situations.
-
Digital Inclusion: Overcoming Technological Barriers in Partner Countries.
In the coming months, 22 ESC volunteers will provide direct support in host countries, promoting the values of solidarity and human dignity that EHO has advocated for three decades. The preparatory meeting on behalf of our organization was attended by Željka Zeljković, Anamaria Sebestyen Farago and Milisav Milinković.
