Participation in the Interdiac Honorary Council Meeting

01. Dec 2025.

The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization participated in the Honorary Council Meeting organized by the Interdiac network, held in November 2025 in Český Těšín (Czech Republic).

The meeting brought together representatives of organizations from various countries, including Diakonia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Református Szeretetszolgálat (Hungary), United Church of Christ (Philippines), ELCL Diaconia Centre (Estonia), Evangelická diakonia ECAV (Slovakia), as well as other partner organizations and members of the Interdiac network.

During the three-day program, participants exchanged experiences and examples of good practice in working with vulnerable groups, with a particular focus on social inclusion, youth work, and the role of diaconia in contemporary society. As part of the program, the results of three Thematic Support Groups were presented, covering different areas: Youth on the Margins, Spirituality in Christian Social Practice, and Diaconia and Christian Social Practice in Situations of War and Frozen Conflicts.

Participation in the meeting contributed to strengthening international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the development of new ideas for improving the programs implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization in its work with children and youth at risk.

On behalf of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, the meeting was attended by Project Coordinator Miroslava Častvenova.
