A day for culture and socializing: EHO seniors visited the Museum of Vojvodina
05. May 2026.
Instead of the usual gathering in our premises, a group of seniors from the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization spent last Thursday walking through the city and visiting the Museum of Vojvodina. This visit is part of our effort to offer our senior citizens content that enriches social life and prevents the isolation that often accompanies the more mature age.
We were guided through the permanent exhibition of the Museum by educator Tatjana, to whom we would like to thank for the warm welcome and free tickets. With professional guidance, our members had the opportunity to remember the rich cultural heritage of our region, but also to spend time in conversation outside of their everyday routine.
A special contribution to this action was made by Furkan, our volunteer from the EU Aid Volunteers program. His presence and energy bring new dynamics to work with the elderly, proving that intergenerational solidarity and international support brings quality and diversity into the everyday life of our seniors.
Work with seniors within EHO takes place through regular gatherings on Wednesdays and Fridays, when various workshops and activities are organized, which are now additionally enriched by the engagement of volunteers involved in the "Humanitarian Volunteering for Solidarity Activities" (HVSA) project, implemented by EHO with the support of the EU Aid Volunteers program.
