EHO on a study visit on circular economy
14. May 2026.
Employment of people who have not had the opportunity to work for years and environmental protection can be part of the same solution. This was confirmed by examples of good practice visited by the team of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization during a three-day study visit to Croatia.
Our director, Anna Brtka Valent, participated from May 11 to 13 in a study visit and conference of the Working Group for Circular Economy (DECIDE project). The goal was clear: to see how social entrepreneurship, the economy, and ecology are connected in practice.
A special impression was made by visits to organizations that have managed to turn waste into a resource:
Regeneracija non-wovens (Zabok): A company that produces new, useful materials from recycled textiles.
Humana Nova (Čakovec): A social enterprise that has become a regional leader in connecting sustainable textile management with the employment of socially vulnerable groups.
Participation in this event represents an important step for the further development of EHO’s initiative in the field of social entrepreneurship, textile recycling, and a systemic approach to textile waste management in Serbia.
