The EHO Girls' Club, which brings together girls aged 14 to 19, spent a day last Saturday in Kamenica Park with the Provincial Ombudsman, as part of the support activities for girls implemented through the project "Empowering Roma Girls and Women", supported by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).

During their time together and spending time in nature, the Provincial Ombudsman talked to a group of girls about the different life situations that young people face, their rights, as well as about institutions and providers of assistance and support in exercising these rights.

Special attention was paid to important topics concerning the position of girls and young women, including early marriage, the importance of education, personal development and economic independence.

Such meetings represent an important space for open dialogue, exchange of experiences and empowerment of girls to recognize their own rights, opportunities and potential for making decisions about their future.

The activities of the EHO Club for Girls continue to provide support to young girls through education, mentoring, and creating a safe space for conversation, as part of a project aimed at empowering Roma girls and women.
