As part of the project "Support for children at risk of being involved in street life and/or work", in May 2026, activities were implemented aimed at supporting families from the Adice settlement in the process of enrolling children in the first grade of primary school.

This year, 10 children were registered and will begin their primary education in September. Parents were provided with information and practical assistance regarding the enrollment procedure, so that all children could be included in the education system in a timely and successful manner.

In order to make it easier for future first-graders to start school, preparatory and educational workshops will be organized during the summer months. Children will be provided with school bags with supplies, while after the start of the school year they will have the opportunity to use additional learning support through the extended stay program in elementary schools.

The project is implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of Stepic CEE Charity from Vienna.
