The annual meeting of women, representatives of five churches, who participate in ecumenical work and organize the World Day of Prayer, was held in the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization was held on Saturday, January 25, 2020. The goal of the meeting was to submit work reports for 2019, as well as to plan activities and projects for the current 2020. 16 women participated in the meeting.
The women had the opportunity to socialize with each other and share their joy because of the reunion, but also to reflect on the needs and possibilities for further improvement of ecumenical cooperation in Vojvodina and the region. The coordinator introduced the women to the project approved by the Fellowship of the Least Coin (FLC), which deals with the prevention of cancer in women from rural areas. The project will be realized in several settlements in Vojvodina.
Preparations are also underway for the World Day of Prayer, a solemn liturgy that will be held in the Greek Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul in Novi Sad. This prayer, organized by women, is held in over 40 church communities in Vojvodina. Since 2013, it has been organized ecumenically in Belgrade.
