In the period from March 4 to 5, 2020, the team of the project "Support to the education of socially deprived children and youth" visited the elementary school "Jan Kolar" in Selenča (municipality of Bač) and the elementary school "Despot Stefan" in Gornji Stepoš (Municipality of Kruševac) where support has been provided to poor children and youth for the third year in a row in order to improve their chances and success in education. During the visit, students and teachers involved in the project were interviewed and the quality and success of project activities were assessed. A particularly important dimension of the project is the involvement of rural schools, which often remain out of reach of additional support.
The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization is implementing this project with the financial support of the organization Brot für die Welt from Germany. Through project activities, we strive to support the efforts of schools and local communities to achieve positive personal, social and economic changes by investing in the education of poor children.
