A life story about our beneficiaries
15. Jun 2020.
Anna and Vladimir are one of the beneficiaries who received a package of humanitarian aid within the project "EHO Appeal - Covid19 Pandemic", implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, with the financial support of SDC - Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Anna and Vladimir are brother and sister. They live in Stara Pazova, where they spent their childhood with their mother, who was a Nazarene believer, and their father, who unfortunately often consumed alcohol excessively, which was a great burden for Ana and Vladimir and left consequences on their future development. Among other things, difficult acceptance and distrust of people is a consequence of this experience. Their mother, as a guide and support, meant a lot to Ana and Vladimir. She supported them in their path of growing up. Thus, Ana, together with her mother, became one of the main designers of the former Serbian carpet manufacturer Diana, while Vladimir mastered the skill of communication in seven world languages (including Hebrew). He also entered the Guinness Book of Records. Vladimir also boasts with his ability to play the zither. Together with their mother, Ana and Vladimir grew flowers, which they sold at the market, and their garden was considered one of the most beautiful in Stara Pazova. Unfortunately, the life course of Ana and Vladimir changes abruptly after her mother's death. Ana lost her job, fell ill, and her ability to feed herself and her brother is greatly reduced. Thanks to good people and the help that Ana and Vladimir receive, they manage to cope with life's adversities. When difficult and uncertain moments occur (as it is the situation with Covid-19), the support means a lot to them, and to know that the hands of support are always open for them. Their smiles say how much human care and help means.
