New initiatives supported in the meeting with representatives with project partner local self govermnents

In the EHO center in Novi Sad, on July 1 and 2, 2020, a meeting was held with representatives of partner local governments who implement the project "Social inclusion of Roma and other vulnerable groups in Serbia 2019-2020" together with EHO.
Topical work groups were formed for three project areas (housing, education and legal support), a plan was made to modify previously initiated project activities and adapt them to the situation caused by the COVID19 epidemic. Changes were initiated and the introduction of new forms of support in education, in the development of legal frameworks for additional financial support to socially vulnerable families with children, information on how to access basic rights and strengthening existing capacities within local institutions.
After the meeting, the EHO project team with representatives of local governments developed a plan and initiated the implementation of two priority activities toward implementation of an intensive work in e-support in education to provide conditions for the use of this innovative way of working with school-children.
The local self-governments that are partners and on whose territory the project is being implemented are Novi Sad, Žabalj, Zvezdara, Obrenovac, Šabac, Aranđelovac, Smederevska Palanka, Požega, Raška, Kragujevac and Surdulica.
The realization of the project is financed by HEKS / EPER Switzerland.
