With the beginning of the new school year, the support that the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization provides to children and young people from socially challenged families is continued. The support that provides the basic conditions for regular attendance is implemented in nine local communities throughout Serbia, and the goal is to improve the chances of these children and their success in education. Since the coronavirus epidemic is still current, schools have been given the autonomy to choose one of several models of teaching organization, and support activities have been adapted to these changed work regimes. What all schools have in common is the increased volume of support offered by the project, because last year's distance learning was a challenge for children who come from unstimulating and deprived backgrounds.
The activities are carried out within the project "Support to the education of socially deprived children and youth in Serbia" with the financial support of the German organization Brot für die Welt.
