With help and support from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), our colleague in RC Sombor organized a remarkable number of workshops for children who dwell there. Two of these workshops to elicit most smiles and enjoyment were "My family, my home" and "Four seasons".
In the workshop on topic of family, after conversations about families, childen were asked to emblaze paper-made houses with crayons and illustrate a family in same house. In the end, each child presented their own creations and families.
The workshop on 4 seasons was aimed to present characteristic features of annual seasons and learn how to recognize them. Children worked in pairs and their thick paper panel were divided in four sections and their task was to ornament each section with appropriately colored papers. They made tree-tops from crepe-paper thus adopting 4 main colors that feature each season of year.
For both workshops they insisted to have them repeated as soon as possible, especially the one about family.
