Vocational Career Days event for 8th grade pupils in Subotica

A workshop on professional orientation was held in Subotica, which is one of the seven places in Vojvodina where the educational integration of children from marginalized groups is supported.
Methods used in the workshop were: Information analysis, discussion, lecture, ranking of interests for the purpose to train 8th grade primary school pupils to independently collect information related to enrollment in the desired high schools and to get acquainted with the documentation and procedures for enrollment.
The attending children analyzed educational profiles and researched high schools in accordance with their interests and success in primary school, through active participation, group discussion and also through individual work. Presented was also the upcoming Calendar of activities for the implementation of the final exam at the end of primary education and the entrance exam and enrollment in secondary schools.
The workshop was held within the project "Improvement of the socio-economic situation of the marginalized in Vojvodina through education and economic empowerment" which was supported by the Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg/Hoffnung für Osteuropa from Germany.
