A Training on Partner Violence Prevention Held

Prevention of partner violence was the topic of training intended for young women, mostly Roma, but also other marginalized groups within the project "With Roma and for them in the Danube region." The two-day training discussed the topic of love and violence, ie what types of violence exist, how to recognize them and how to react in case someone suffers direct or indirect violence.
The two-day training was held during July 9 and 10, 2021, in the premises of the Local Community of Bačko Gradište, and the participants joined from the surrounding places, ie Stari and Novi Bečej. The training was held by psychologists Stana Todorić Jovanović and Jelena Zorić, both are experienced professionals and acquainted in the working with the local association “Family Strength”.
This project is aimed at exchange of experiences, knowledge and good practice examples in working with the Roma community and other marginalized groups in the countries of the Danube region. The project is being implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization in partnership with the Diakonie Wuerttemberg from Germany and other partners - Evangelical Academy Transilvania of Sibiu/Romania and Evangelical Diakonia Slovakia.
