A donation event for 40 tablet devices donated to the elementary schools "Miloš Crnjanski" from Žabalj and "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj" from Đurđevo was held in the premises of the Municipality of Žabalj. The tablets were also given to peer tutors who are students of these schools. Tablets are becoming part of the digital library that will help better digital literacy of children, but which will also serve as part of the support for children who follow classes online and do not have the necessary equipment for that. The digital library will contribute to easier tracking of materials during online classes caused by the pandemic. Tablets will be issued upon educational children's requirements, not only for the needs of this project, but also for later needs and additional digital literacy of children.

This event is part of the activities within the project "Providing additional support in education to children from vulnerable groups in response to the Covid-19 pandemic", which aims to support underprivileged school children and their parents who are additionally affected by the covid-19 crisis.

The project is implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Žabalj, Elementary school "Miloš Crnjanski", Žabalj, Elementary school „J. J. Zmaj “, Đurđevo, Center for Social Work of the Municipality of Žabalj and the Office for Roma Inclusion.
